If he has paid you cash...he can't force a refund.

This transaction has nothing to do with PayPal.

You sold your guitar at Auction, as a private seller.  He inspected the item, then paid for it "as is". 

Print out a copy of your listing while you still can. (keep a copy).

Just in case he is litigious. Ignore him.
