That's so sad and upsetting.

I'm a primary school teacher and for a while we had chooks and ducks all set up beautifully at the school where I was working. The senior kids were able to look after all the needs of the birds, without much imput from the teachers and they loved it.

Unfortunately, they also fell prey to foxes. The worst thing was that the kids discovered it first and it was really traumatising for them !!

There was a drake and he put up a valient fight to try and protect the other birds, it was clear to see. In the end, not a successful one. Very upsetting to think about, even now !!

I really empathise !!!
