Thank you all for replying to my query and for the great help. The offending buyer has been added to my blocked list and I have setup my account as suggested by i-love-my-sheep.

I relisted the item and it sold today. Happily the new buyer paid within a few minutes of the auction ending. So, all well that ends well!.

Thanks again. it was my first experience with a non payer and I' verym grateful for the help this forum has given me.
