July is usually a good sales month for me because I do 'Cristmas in July' promos of lines I don't usually carry the rest of the year, but I've never recorded a first day of trading for July as I had yesterday @ a tad under $22,000, so I'm praying the rest of the month will follow on just as good rather than it being a flash in the pan to begin with and a slump following it.

I only employ one full timer besides myself and one part-timer to keep my overheads down, but yesterday I could have done with half a dozen people working in my store at times.

The biggest temptation for me is to buy in more stock than usual, but there's a little voice talking to me at the back of my mind warning me not to get carried away with taking on too much and end up getting stuck with it.
