I live in Perth and mail from the east coast always takes around 8 days to arrive. I know this and accept it as do most others. Post your way goes via Air, feedback tells me that, people are always surprised by the quick delivery, but I would think it goes by truck over here. Nothing much from Aust Post comes in or out of here overnight, except for courier overnight bags. Think this person is maybe being a little difficult. Can't please them all. Good luck.
