For every difficult buyer that may prevent it will probably put off 10 times as many good buyers.

Just bad business.

Many will read that as "Got a problem..speak to the hand, as the ears aren't listening, I'm having a tantrum"

It amazes me how many sellers ruin their own sales by what they put in their listings and feedback responses.

I agree, sellers selling issues are just that the sellers issues.  Not a buyers issue, who has landed on the listing page looking to buy something, especially buyers who do the right thing all the time anyway.

It is not 'professional'.

lol "professional"

As professional as the service provider that hosts our listings ???

Personally, never subscribed to a less "professional" outfit than the eBay mob, ever ... whilst other large companies customer service areas I have dealt with may have been cowboys and careless in some areas on some occassions, as far as I can tell eBays customer service could never hope to meet the same standards it seeks from sellers.

For example, the customer service advice that one gets when one has time to waste provides a level of service that is so low in terms of accuracy and knowledge of the policies and procedures of the organisation that employ them,  than most reasonable residents of Oz would have ever thought possible. Whilst the information and advice that may be given is relayed in a parrot like "polite" fashion, it is invaribly flawed, either on a actual policy and/or acutal procedure basis, overall content or just missing some essential information or details.

lol "professional" check out the length, detail and complexity of the terms and conditions of eBay (as well as the "tone") and apply the same standards to them as you do a small seller that does not have billions at their disposal.

As (a depleting) number of regulars frequently post - "if you don't like the rules you have a choice"  ... don't buy from those sellers that have terms and conditions you don't like - go elsewhere ... lol ... please Cat Happy
