Hi Joe. Before eBay changed the details attached to buyer feedback, it will have been mainly so people couldn't easily see what you bought. As each feedback (unless the item was itself, a "private" listing) used to have a clickable link to view the listing and would say the listing title. So private feedback, for privacy.
