Where exactly are you buying this laptop from? Some manufacturers will not honor the warranty if bought in auctions(or from auction sites like eBay).

If you buy on eBay, make sure it is from a registered business that is specifically in the business of selling new computers with good feedback.

I think you should be ok, but you might want to check with Toshiba in advance before buying though.
