Do not answer any number you don't recognise. If it's a genuine call, they will leave a message or text you. Ebay doesn't phone you for any reason whatsoever.

In the last 3 days alone, I have had 8 calls from different unknown numbers and refuse to answer any of them. They display as coming all over the country as well as from overseas. None of them have left a message, so I know they are scams.

My 75 year old mother, on the other hand did answer one last week which claimed to be from her banks fraud department, kept her on the phone for 5 hours on a Friday afternoon and she landed up losing $60,000.
