I have an ebay purchaed item that Pitney Bowes tracking says was delivered to my home on Wednesday the 14th. Given I was home at the so called delivery time I am 100% sure it was not delivered to my home. I have contacted the US seller and they said it is not their problem especially since they used the ebay international shipping service. I have now tried to contact ebay through the “item has not arrived” option under “More action” but that option has disappeared because ebay thinks the item has been delivered. Can someone please give me some advice?
I actually hypothesis the item may have been passed on to another postal service such as Australia Post - if this is the case why would ebay allow Pitney Bowes put incorrect information on their tracking page? If my hypothesis is correct, I would find this very frustrating to ebay clients because ebay effectively assumes the information on the tracking page is gospel.
