i have tried every conceivable option to contact ebay as their automated system cannot resolve my issue and their 1800 number only sends me back to the same merry-go-round. there is no option except to contact the ombudsman in order to have someone to talk to. has anyone got a solution?

Yes, go on the chat line to CS and as soon as possible ask to speak to a supervisor.

And don't yell at them like you seem to want to do to us. Courtesy is a bonus

What is the problem?
If you ditch the capitals,( capslock is shouting) the members here are far more qualified to help you, rather than CS staff who read from a script telling you weird things just to get you to go away.
Don't know how you think the Ombudsman will help.
