A question for anybody, please.

Was this board heading here before, or did Michelle just make a new one?   -

eBay News & Information > Community Feedback

Cos it's sure attracting a lot of weird questions.

The'Community Feedback' part is what is getting them here.

I reckon it should just contain Ebay News, and be made incapable of starting new threads.

It's been there for a while but I think that the reason it's getting more "weird" questions is that it's the first

boards they see and they believe that's where they have to post.

As you pointed out Community feedback is what's getting them here,(but they haven't checked/seen that

it's only intended for Feedback for the discussion boards).

It would certainly work better if no new threads could be started so that it stays on topic, good.gif

Just a reminder that changes to the structure of the boards will take place tonight. There may be some disruption between 8pm and 11pm, including periodic inability to post to certain boards.

We expect the changes to finalised by 11pm.

Regards

Michelle

Michelle, what changes are being implemented tonight so that we can get an idea of what they are?

*sigh*  Looks like we will find out by trial and error Padi.   Michelle is unlikely to return before the change are implemented to warn us what to look for.

It appears that Stawks was right....they are working on US time.

Edit.....the Technical Issues board has appeared.  I wonder who will be the first to christen it?

Mushroom syndrome strikes again lyndal....................surprise, surprise................

Surely it wouldn't be that hard to post the board changes to this thread so that we at least get a heads-up on them, since we were asked at the outset to post comments/questions here.

She's busy locking threads, it seems, Padi.

A mod's job, if ever I saw one   punch.gif

The only post in the tech issues thread has been moved. There's also a chat with ebay staff heading. I'll believe that when I see it. Members will be waiting forever for a reply from an ebay employee.

As you may have noticed the changes to the boards have taken place, with most things being completed. We are still working on the PowerSellers board and this should be completed in the next few hours. Thanks for your patience.

So no action was taken on locking old threads luna, when it was one of the ideas she said she'd taken on board...................

Give Michelle a chance Padi....she did say she was starting with the oldest threads on each board and working forward.

Given the sheer volume of threads that are over 12 months old it may take her a week or so to get them all locked....or a year or so, depending on how long she works at it each day.

I would think it would be quicker if the Mods were asked to do some locking of threads on each shift.  They have precious little else to do these days as the boards are so quiet....reading every post on every thread posted in 24 hours should only take an hour or so.
