It is a very old, very common scam that has been posted about many times

and people who have never even used eBay get the same scam calls  (I know this, because an old housemate got the same identical call about 5 years ago, had never used eBay in their lives) 

Glad you hung up rather than 'press one' or follow other instructions from the scammer
