Maybe they think that as the photos are being posted in a public forum, why have the option of them being private? I think there should be the option in private groups though, where the contents aren't out there for the world to see.

Personally, I'd like to see that wretched pinned post removed at the top of this forum, that has been sitting dormant with news from nearly 2.5 years ago. I suspect that people know by now the forums have changed.
