OP didnt need to go to another page the EDD is in front of them when they see where it claims to come from, as is the shocking feedback.

But not the item and seller location. If you look at feedback for some of the largest retailers in Australia they have feedback below 50% on product review sites. So anyone not familiar or new to ebay would see 95% as very good.

This member is not new though
Buyers do need to take responsibility for their own choices
All the information is there
Or if someone really does not know what they are doing nor how eBay works, read up, ask
Takes less time to check things than it does to complain they bought dodgy got dodgy and it's eBay's fault

1 - Yes, the FB was bad, but that is nothing unusual. Other sellers selling the same type of product were worse. Most of the 100% sellers nowadays are those who just opened their store, which means they stopped using the account with bad FB, and let it rest until the bad FB expires.
2 - I did look for the seller location but could not find it. The fact that such vital info has to be searched for is 100% ebay fault. It used to be on the FB page. But its NOT there. The screenshot I posted is of the FB page.
3 - when seller list with fake location and ebay says that is acceptable, that is is not OK, and it only encourages deceptive listing.
4 - Why do you think buyer cannot cancel? There is a button to request cancellation within certain time. It was always available, or at least for many years.
Anyway, the seller now responded and refunded.

The other sellers that had this type of item had worse FB, or were located in Sydney. Actually, if you look around very few sellers have over 87% FB and mots of those with 100% are new accounts. Yes Melbourne or NZ should mean they are in 2 locations. And EDD should be irrelevant, IF they indeed post from the listed location, and IF they post within 3 days as stated. EDD is irrelevant because once the item is posted, it is out of the seller's hands. Also EDD is often totally wrong. I bought recently something that had EDD 2nd August and it arrived last week.
The whole point is that eBay does not care if the sellers use false information in their listing. As somebody who has been using eBay for both buying and selling for over 20 years, and it used to be my 1st choice when looking for something, I now hardly buy here. One reason being that even if I search Australia only, or 100km from my place, I still get sellers from China.

Thanks! From all the replies you are the only one actually giving me useful answer 🙂
That was my whole point; in the past the important info was all there, now it has to be searched for. I bet people who do not use eBay much have no idea this info is available.

Sorry most accounts I look at have 100% feedback, and are not new accounts and have 1000's of sales.
So you bought from 95% instead of a lower percentage. Sorry I would buy from neither and move on.
You do realise that 95% means 5 out of every 100 buyers had a bad experience, and if you read those negs, you get a good indication its bad.
It is not Ebay supporting these sellers, it's buyers like yourself, who support them and help them flourish.
