Yes zi agree. The cost of post is just such a rip off especially with EBay's Global shipping program. Fist the item goes from seller to ebay "hub" then Pitney Bowers or some other courier takes over (another fee aspect ) then it gets sent overseas where another carrier takes up to two more weeks to get the item to me after it's been already cleared by Customs. Thirty days plus from start to end. Post cost for a pen sent this way is anything from US $24.00 to US $71.00 - yep just for 1 small fountain pen. Then there's the initial cost of the pen and GST added. Just an absolute rip off.

It's not much use complaining after the fact - you would have been fully aware of the postage costs before you decided to buy the pen.

You can always ask to use another postage message, but than to also complain about the cost of the pen.

I'm not sure what, but you're doing something wrong, I've purchased more than 500 items on eBay and have rarely had a problem, If I do have problems eBay/PayPal sort it out.
