freddie you read the post wrong. She didn't feed him!
So he may have ended up starving to death!
Not very Christian-like I'd say
What's Christian got to do with OP?

There has to be more to the story. Where was the dinner held? How did he get in? Did the old people feel threatened? I just find it hard to believe that if a hungry person asked if he could have some food, they would call the Police ???

I suspect grandmoon as having a lend of us, no one would turn away an almost 50 yo man (or anyone) who just wanted a meal? Perhaps he is lonely and was looking for some Christmas spirit rather than food.
I wonder what the police thought?

Most people that are where they shouldn't be
and are threatened with having the police called on them would take off before the police arrived.
Anyone who regularly tries to attend gatherings with free meals (uninvited, not eligible) is probably suffering from some sort of mental illness.

fancy denying a man a meal, especially at this time of year
only the hardest and coldest of hearts could do that
i would suggezt the oldies were distressed by the upset caused in calling the police, ratther than being upset because he was there.

I know of a lady who attends every funeral in a small town near me. She goes for the afternoon or morning tea. I think that is a bit off to be honest. Maybe the bloke demanding a meal does the same sort of thing, and is known to do so.
