I have read the thread and there are no valid reasons posted imo. Just a lot of whinging and you can't make me do anything I don't want to aggro or I will not show my bag, they can detain me, I will sue and make the shop pay lots of money to me.. yeah right.

What were they? Are these valid reasons excluded from the store bag check policy available to read before entry, which  by entering the store you agree to abide by and  which apply to EVERY customer?

I'm for common sense more than rules and laws, even so, having my bag checked doesn't bother me if it helps stop at least some shoplifters which must help keep shops insurance from going through the roof.......common sense really.

Plenty of other issues to get riled up about instead of something that may save us all a bit of money.

I have read every single comment on this thread and I too am yet to see a single valid reason.

totally agree. It must make them feel big to have a go at the poor staff member just doing their job.

As i said earlier, to those that dont like bag checks, dont have a go at the poor staff member, ask to speak to the manager or head of security

If a person has a problem with the rules then maybe they should speak to the manager of the store before entering or immediately upon entering the store rather that getting all defensive/aggro with the poor person who has the job of asking to look in peoples bags.

Please show me the valid reasosns you are talking about as I cant see them

Please also explain whats so secret in your bag that no one is allowed to glance in their to see if you are shoplifting... or is that why you object so much to a staff  member havinga  glance in your bag?

Please explain whats so secret in your bag that your own children are not allowed to look in there as you have stated in this thread

What is so secret or personal in your handbag?

I also note that in your case from your posts on here and with your attitude to the  rules and the stores rights and even the law you dont think the rules apply to you and you are exempt and above all rules and store conditions.

In our family, a handbag or wallet is the property of the person who has their belongings in it. I wouldn't presume to go into anyone's without permission, same for them.

To all the posters who object to their bags being checked:

Do you want cheese with that whine?

bag checkers arnt "going into" your bag. They cant even touch it. They are having a quick glance in. Thats all
