yesterday it was 47deg on our back deck according to the thermometer, OH says it is 45 today.

Just had some thunder and about 4 drops of rain.

once it hits 53, you're allowed a 10 minute break every 2 hours.

Once it get's to 53 we'll have to start living underground, in dugouts like in Coober Pedy.

It is not that  hot here but hot enough for me to get out my sarong too. I feel for you in that heat Iza (maybe beause I have the abiity to feel sympathy and empathy). One hot day we can all handle but several days of it do become stressful with lack of sleep and heat exhaustion.

Just think Iza, if you had not posted this thread Karen would not have had an opportunity to post her 'keep cool' tricks 🙂

(i dont keep track of temps really)

currently experiencing beautiful spring like weather though atm & i heard it will heat up again this weekend, doesnt worry me

Signatures suck.

Yes,like Coober Pedy.  That's it!  I loved it there.

 Underground works for winter too

Now where's that shovel...

I think that's it. I was beginning to think we weren't getting a summer this year because it's been cold and we had so much rain in November. Now here it is, then we go back to 20 something degrees for the next week in a couple of days. Weird!

I think you must get a different kind of heat over there. For some reason it is much more bearable than over here.

It's pretty tough on the animals and plant life here. Everything has just instantly wilted and I've hardly seen or heard any birds around (except for the bird bath this morning)

Adelaide is copping it worse than us though

yes its a dry heat - mediterranean desert like climate here

rarely get those very high humid days -  that can be annoying

I think it's different winds, blue.  I didn't mind the heat in W.A. (hated the cold) but in Vic. I reckon the winds carry more heat.
