Yes, I have an opinion. No you don't have to agree with it. Yes I do have a right to it.

I should stop worrying about my kitties. My Birman got heat exhaustion as a kitten once. We had to wrap her in a wet towel and hold her up to the aircon. It was 20 mins before she stopped panting!
Severe storm warning now. Shouldn't that bring the temp down?
Surely?

AArrgh!! I just re-organised the bluddy sock drawer!

A friend of mine saved her pet rabbit from heat stroke by laying it on the bathroom tiles and wetting it's ears.
I reckon that's a good tip especially if you have big ears.

Stinker of a day here for sure and a couple more days to go of it. My office aircon was straining under it yesterday so decided to finish up for the day and go home.
This was the temp yesterday morning when I popped out to do some errands.
This was the temp when I left work yesterday.
It's dropped down to 37 here now yet last night it was still that at midnight.
Storms are now approaching but it will only make it icky.
I remember when we were kids before getting an airconditioner Mum would put wet sheets over the fans to help cool down. We did something similar to you Karen and put wet pieces of cotton sheet or similar around our heads to help keep cool.
