Eight new repayments in my latest email so a new loan tomorrow.  

I don't quite know what this repayment means.  It was to a women's group in Iraq months ago and it says 

Note: Since this loan was part of a promotion funded by Kiva's donors the repayment will be returned to the promotional account.

How sad that they are caught up in such a horrible war.

I got my first installment repayment today! 

They included a picture of the woman who got the loan. I love this program, and I'm spreading the word in the U.S.

joono if you did a promo loan where you make one and get one free, the repayments don't go back to your account, they go back to the firm that gave you the $25 to lend. So in effect they loan you 25 to lend to someone.

I will also have enough in repayments for another loan and next month I think I may have enough for 2 loans.

tcm, I know, it's such a simple and effective system. It's fun too.

We have a new team member.  That's great Prim!  I'm glad you joined us.

We are sitting on 262 loans with just over 2 months to go to reach our goal of 300. We breezed through that first goal of 100 in 12 months but I think we are going to struggle to achieve this one (200 in 2 years) maybe by the end of the year?

270 loans given  for a total of $6775 loaned .......wow !!

  only 30 loans to go to hit the target by Oct 23....... mmm might be a stretch,

but ya never know ...

I think we can do it Cats.  I still haven't done the one I promised recently.  I forgot all about it.
