Just an aside, I had an affogato recently.
Sensational. (not supposed to have caffeine though)
French vanilla ice cream in a tall glass.
Next to it is a shot of hot espresso and shot of Baileys.
Pour the two on the icream and enjoy with a long spoon.
Such a simple but deeeeelicious dessert.
(Don't use mince in this one)

UFO your recipe sounds delish, but NOT when one's cook top runs on bottled gas lol Aldi sell 2kg of mince for around 12 bucks, that is not expensive, especially if padded out with heap of vegies, which are prob better for you.

That is cheap for 2kg mince I will check that out myself at aldi.

am. I find its not all that fatty, I always drain off any excess fat when I cook it before I add veggies etc .... We are not health fanatics. so dont mind a small amout of fat in our diet

I wouldn't have a clue what meat other supermarkets sell, I only buy my meat from Aldi apart from lamb which is bought direct from the farmer when I need one.

Yep my OH reckons its important to fry off the onion and garlic first. Stops them repeating on you.
