Can you read this?  I thought I would save myself the typing but in hindsight it would have been easier.

 

Rice paper rolls (Vietnamese) are good. Have started making them at home recently. I am going to plant some mint in a tub to use in them. I think Thai mint might be what is used in Vietnamese ones We usually make vegetarian ones.

There is a Vietnamese food stall at our Wed. market. The lady that does the cooking is from Vietnam. Delicious.

I find, like insurance offices, that a better deal on rates happens when you "front" up in person.

 

The stress of going public and a poor night's sleep will see the nana nap upon return.

 

I have had a new deck railing (height/spacings now in compliance) installed and have to get around to sanding and painting that in the cooler part of the day.  Not a rush job thankfully.

 

Loved looking at the rose piccies, hoping Freddie has got over her big weekend and that everyone else is doing okay.

AM*3, no, I used a bought Vietnamese Dipping Sauce for Spring Rolls. I served that in little tiny bowls. I also added a lime wedge to the plates. I checked the ingredients of the dip and it looks like it would be easy to make.

I haven't seen it for years ... but when I used to go to Vietnamese restaurants they served a similar dip with fresh slices of carrot ... loved munching on those carrots.

Today, my son sits his first HSC exam. Can't believe how worried I am for him.

Term Investment time Aggggggggggg at the interest rates

 

I was hoping to get away with not needing to paint the lounge/dinning/kitchen just yet, but with lovely new curtains and the need to move stuff around pull curtains down etc.... I figure it would be better to get this area painted now. So I have rang around and will get a few quotes and get it done now.

I hate painting. It was kinda fun on the first wall, but after that, bleh. And I'm hopeless at choosing colours, takes me forever
