"Senate Enquiry" lol    Yep, that'll fix it.  What's next ? A Royal Commission ?

Lets hope that the inquiry highlights the amount of tax's the companies who have Halal certifcation pay and the number of people they employ here in Australia.

And the effect of the cerfication on the export businesses.

It won't make any difference to some, they will just either ignore the results or make accusations that the inquiry was biased. They don't really want to know the reality, they will then have to find another outlet for their vengeance and bigotry.

that is a really bigoted and inflammatory statement to make.

I don't see the OP as bigoted - she has genuine concerns.

So, you are assuming that I was referring to the op? That is inflammatory. I was replying to the quoted post.

Yes, it suits their agenda to cause people fear.

They are having another wind power inquiry too.  All members except one, as far as I can tell, are  wind power haters.

Pigs are usually killed on a different chain...same abbs different chain..... see the link below

The point I think is that all the meat is chilled with the same recirculating air in the same cool rooms separated only by plastic and cardboard.

An ink stamp changes meat from halal to non halal.... and vice versa........... I have blessed and unblessed thousands

upon thousands of cartons

What?

Surely not

After all, it clearly states on the Islamic Co ordinating council website that "Pig meat will not be slaughtered, processed or stored at the abattoir."

And that brings me back to question 6 in my OP

6. Why are abattoirs paying a certification fee and then packing all the meat in one truck and delivering it to butchers and supermarkets who then put it all in the one fridge and display it all in the one display fridge. Once pork products are shelved, stored or transported with other meats, the other meats immediately become non halal anyway. So Aussie Muslims cant eat it anyway.

Have a look next time you are at Woolies or Coles or a butcher etc. Woolies get their meat from an halal certified abattoirs, yet my Woolies had its roast porks right next to the beef and the pork chops right next to the lamb chops.

My butcher told me that they get their meat from a halal certified abattoirs (because they cant find one that isnt), but the minute all the meat goes on the one truck for delivery and then gets displayed in the same display cases, its non halal.

Just to add, because many of you seem to not understand or chose to be ignorant of it, I am not anti Muslim. I am anti halal certification the way it is currently operated.

I also dont like the women wearing head coverings. I believe they should have to remove those coverings in certain places (banks, airports etc), pretty much any place that also asks for the removal of helmets, balaclavas, hoodies etc.

So call me a bigot a racist, whatever you want, but i know I am not and i do not believe any of the questions i have put in the OP are not questions that other Australians should not also be asking

Halal certification is sought for the export market usually but also benefits the company in marketing their products. It's a financial decision if they want to make a profit and grow their company.

Your dislike of head coverings on Muslim women is your own personal dislike........... helmets are removed in banks because the BANK requests that. They are at liberty to make their own rules. My current bank has several women tellers who wear a head covering. It would be a bit odd to then ask customers to remove theirs.

It seems to be a problem here.

Muslim haters, whinging about Halal Cert that doesnt directly interfer with their activities of daily living in any way!

Got nothing better to do than sterotype all muslims in the same Halal basket to make themselves feel more superior!

MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL!

I have met, spoken with, eaten with many muslim folk.
They are fantastic people. They are NOT ALL secretely trying to bomb us or become the next super-power!

Fgs it's not about liking or disliking Muslims.

It's about Australian companies being virtually forced to pay a tax for a certification that is really only relevant to a small percentage of the Australian population.

And about the archaic and barbaric method of slaughter.

The fact that some of the revenue raised goes towards muslim colleges and institutions where anti-Western sentiment is taught,

That there's a well-founded suspicion that some of the funds raised from that tax is subverted to support the attacks by Islamic fighters against the West.

It deserves a Senate inquiry.

By the way I believe they boil blood to make Black Pudding.

YES IT IS!  At the end of the day, this is exactly what its all about!
Halal is religious related.
The fact that it is MUSLIM religious related, is the real cruxt of it here!
If this was a Catholic or Anglican religious ritual, there would be less of a song and dance about it!

Dont tell me that what is written is not what is being done! Oh no! Does that mean the the ink stamp on the side of the  box that says it is HALAL, really means that it is NOT HALAL?????   Fancy that!

From what I hear about the detrimental health effects on ppl living in close proximity to wind turbines, they're hated with good reason.

Constant headaches, sleeplessness, depression.

No it's not aimed at ppl of the muslim faith.

Halal is religious related.

Yes that's right. Well that's how it's represented to us, and to muslims too. But for many of the Islam councils residing in the West, I think it's main purpose is to con an easy buck out of the infidel.

That is what the Senate inquiry is aimed at.

The fact that it is MUSLIM religious related, is the real cruxt of it here!
If this was a Catholic or Anglican religious ritual, there would be less of a song and dance about it!

Well seeing the Catholic or Anglicans are Christian and Christianity is Australia's official religion, why would there be. Anyway, I haven't seen any religious tax on food by Christian organisations, have you?

Look janeababe, i can make my writing pretty colurs as well.

Does it make what is written more important?

As for you calling "shenanigans", well i dont really care what you call it, cause i still call halal certification a SCAM (ohh thats big, bolded and coloured so it must be really important)
