The baby wattlebird is hopping around, peep-peeping at anything that looks like it might feed it...
Parent bird, older sibling... It's not fussy... ha ha.
The inside of it's mouth is a dark, bright yellow, with a few hints of orange - a none too subtle way of saying Put The Food Here!, ha ha.
And it's lips, where the beak joins the face, likewise, are yellow.
It's not easy to miss...
Or you could close your eyes, and listen... you'll find it in no time... ha ha.
I don't think it ever stops making the peep-peeping noise... the only reason I don't hear it is because it's gone somewhere else...ha ha.
They've got two bananas... overripe would be an understatement... ha ha.
I've promised them I'll go out later on and slice what's left into a more manageable state, if there's anything left, that is.... ha ha.
If I was an enterprising person I'd record it's peep-peep call, turn it into a ringtone app and sell it online.
Believe me, after five seconds you'd Want to answer the phone... anything to make it stop! ha ha.
