The banana in question is fast heading down the path  of no longer being what could be termed "firm"...

Which makes it a new and interesting experience to peel... ha ha.

Chopping it up, however, is easy - at times, using the side of the blade works better than the edge... ha ha.

I put the glutinous yellow mass out for the wattlebirds...

Who duly came and showed their appreciation by partially demolishing the pile of banana...

Then, they'd come near it...

Near, but not close...

The little tiny black ants had discovered it... ha ha.

The wattlebirds Really don't like the tiny black ants - "They walk on our feet, and it tickles..."...

So the wattlebirds are waiting for later in the afternoon, after the ants have gone home... ha ha.

Right on when I was half way through feeding the hungry horde, down it came...

Not annoying, fiddly pinprick raindrops...

So I made tracks for shelter somewhat hastily, and the birds, completely out of character, ha ha, didn't hang around on the offchance that I might be back in a moment, with more goodies, ha ha...
