From the posted news article:

"Just four days prior, a man armed with a machete burst into a rabbi's home and started stabbing people at random."

Should the U.S. ban machetes?
Or should synagogues issue them at the door?

for that malarky).

I'm sure that many felt that way before the rise of the Nazis, as well.  Shortsighted.

And how many would he have killed if he had a gun?

Specious argument.

There are definitely similarities with your current president.

More paranoia.

To actually think to compare the US government to the nazis and they are going to take away it's citizens

freedom is absolutely absurd and it looks like they need a large supply of tin foil hats to stop the "mind" control

that they must also have of course.shok.gif

That's the reasoning behind some needing semi automatic weapons of mass detruction because they feel afraid

of their own government who is voted in by them and can't be a dictatorship due to the laws and agencies in

place to prevent that.

Which means it can never become a dictatorship and can never take away it's citizens freedom.good.gif

Sounds like you are in love.

Once the citizens are disarmed, who can say what is possible?

As I said, I own no guns, but it's not rational to say "never" or "impossible".

We've been disarmed for over 20 years.

So you're saying that springyzone lied in saying, "There are millions of guns in Australia.  What is very different though is availablility of guns. Over here, you have to jump through a few hoops before you are qualified to own one"?

Unless they have a legitimate reason for having one then yes they should be banned as a dangerous weapon

(the same should apply to knives that are designed to be used as weapons and carried by non hunters).

No one that lives in a city needs a machette.stubborn_smiley_by_mirz123-d4bt0te_zps12f1a5a3.gif

That statement is exactly why they are forced to buy guns as they don't feel safe in a country that allows it

citizens to buy weapons and a number of those citizens only buy them for the sole purpose of killing others.
