Power out for 36 hours and counting at the remote farm. Went there yesterday with a frozen meal for lunch and had no way to heat it up. Power still off when I left last night to return home and the power company had no idea when it would be back on..

I kept on refreshing the outage page to see various dates and times for repair. For some hours it was saying 2/11, not a prospect I regarded with pleasure.
Then suddenly - LIGHT!!!!
Power has been restored.
I hope it’s quickly remedied for everyone else here as well.

I lost half of the side fence and some of my model ship.
Rails broke away from the posts due to a wind tunnel down the side of neighbour's newly built massive extension.
I had some spare palings, wired up the rails instead of nailing and screwed on new palings instead. All good again, in fact much stronger now. 😊
My partly done ship model is a different story, I had it out under the pergola to pack away in the garage.
Morning after the storm, parts were everywhere. The main hull is ok but some damage on smaller assembled parts. A project I don't have time for right now.
It is The Danmark, (Billing Boats) a training ship with an amazing history.
Might complete it one day.
My misfortunes are minor compared to others in the aftermath of this storm.
I couldn't believe the amount of traffic lights not working on the next day, especially some of the major intersections. Very dangerous.
Hope everyone is back to normal, ready to enjoy some new freedoms. 😉

36hrs? What….. with all that money you’re making (or HAVE made) and your remote farm doesn’t have a generator?
Hmmmmm 😎
