That was really interesting. Mine are about on track then.

It's funny, my sister in law was here over Fri/Sat and when we went for a walk, she commented that she had never actually ever seen one growing ina  garden. She saw them potted in shops and when people were given them as gifts, but never in gardens.

We pondered that. Now I know why. They are a challenge.

I will try to follow the advice. I have to admit I am a hit and miss plant carer. Sort of a set and forget person.

But I will put in a conscious effort and see if I can break the 3 month barrier stawka mentioned. Might keep you updated with pics from time to time. Unless I have to do the walk of shame to the bin.

My grandparents had one in the back corner of their yard. I hated the thing. It would have been there close on 30 years I reckon. Might even still be there. My Pop could grow a anything, which is probably why it survived.

Upon bare scorched earth next to a cement driveway of a previously rented residence a row of these flowers suddenly emerged for a time before disappearing again.
