Joe, Joe, Joe......what part of e-cigarettes are not illegal do you not understand.   If they are allowed in hospitals it would suggest to me that they are indeed safe and can be used as they do not contain nicotine.

lyndal, can you please enlighten me as to why the supreme court judgement in WA that prohibits their use ( regardless of whether nicotine is involved) is not relevant ?

also why is not Quitline's or other health authorities worthy of consideration ??

lyndal lyndal lyndal  all components of them are ilegal in a few states of australia , we even have a poster from w/a who cant even buy them at the local market,   next people will be saying children can smoke these in the classroom and playground, even though we smoked the real ones behind the shelter shed,

by the way do you remember the lollie cigarettes , well they are also banned,

Joe, you still haven't given your explanation for why eBay has

a whole category all of it's own for selling e-cigs and their components.

You can smoke them anywhere because there is no smoke.

It's just vapour!!

Also those lollies were re-named, not banned.

They were called phags (with an f)  They re-named them fads

eBay has categories that make no sense.   It has craft in collectables !!!

How can they pull listings quoting chapter and verse on FDA rules

while having a whole category devoted to the sale of the very same thing?

And how is there no recourse for this insanity?

I would be ringing and ringing until someone higher up the

food chain saw sense

I hope you've opened an item not received dispute. Don't leave it too long or you will lose your money.

eBay Oz rules often reflect laws in other nation's jurisdictions.

Gosh from this discussion I have learnt that sale and supposed benefits of e-ciggies (no matter what the liquid used) are soooooo vexed and may hold the possibility to create potential exposure to class actions for their promotion if their use is eventually adequately tested by research and found to be not only NIL in relation to quitting smoking, but detrimental to health many years from now, I would abandon a category too.

Inclusion of a category on eBay demonstrates zilch - evidence past performance and use of irrelevant categories.

I get that they seem to represent a miracle way to give up smoking for some, but unproven by reputable medical research products, involving lungs that may already be vulnerable .... really ?

to ima , I dont run ebay i dont run states in australia , neither do you , why some parts of e. cigs get thru and some dont get thru on ebays .its there business , [but its clear in the policy you cannot not sell components of these products , now is some do it , well what can i say .     look its a very grey area , you say its not smoke but vapour, its still used for nicotene and fruit flavours ,

its a $$$$$$$question , when using a e.cig  what are you doing ,  smoking or what , if it has nigatene in it , is it then smoking.

why do some look like cigs , do you do a drawback on them , do you then blow smoke out of your mouth.

no i didnt open a non reiceived  when they told me they posted it with ap   lol

anyway maybe you can help here I did get a parcel from startrack yesterday and they asked for id photo, is that normal  and what a good idea.

Anyone else found serial scammers? Would love to hear your story.

When ebay banned sellers leaving negs they didn't expect a group of scammers with 100% positive feedbacks terrorising the ebay community. It's now up to us to stand up and fight.
