So, I lodge an item for posting on 14 Dec the day after payment is received (payment received on the evening of 13 Dec so impossible to lodge until the next day).  Parcel going from Victoria to Northern Territory

Ebays esitmated delivery - 6-11 Days

AP's estimated delivery 13- 14 days

Now if/when the buyer leaves feedback and the question comes up "did this item arrive within the estimated delivery time?" - BAM - a defect if the buyer states no.

Now if the buyer doesn't leave feedback - BAM - eBay slap a defect for Carrier late delivery!

eBay need to get in sync with Australia Post's estimated delivery times.

This is is going to cause a lot of defects for late posting!

Only way out of that is tracked lodgement event. Upping your handling time will push out Ebays estimated delivery to give more margin. Your handling is not displayed to buyers so has no other impact. If you have no lodgement scan then longer handling time will increase chance it gets scanned in transit within handling time.

But yes it sucks and there are plenty of threads on it, and I'm sure there are a lot of sellers yet to realize the impact.
