Parcel returned

Hi - I've just had a parcel I sent to buyer on 20 April returned to me. I checked the tracking information - delivery was attempted on 24 April, it sat at the post office until 9 May (which must be the requisite 2 weeks) and has now been returned to me. I've checked the address given and recorded (PayPal) - all correct. Of course I should contact the buyer to tell her what's happened, but I just wanted to find out what the protocol is in these cases. Who pays the postage to resend the item? It was only a $10 item, so I'm not happy to pay to send it a second time.

Any comments and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers

Audrey

I would expect the buyer to pay for postage again as the non delivery wasn't your fault.

TCT

Ditto.

If they can't bother picking up from the PO, then that is their issue

When I have had similar situations in the past, I photograph the parcel and attach it to a message to the buyer letting them know that their parcel has been returned to me.

I let them know the cost to resend it and give them a date that I expect to receive it by.

If it is not received by that date I then refund their payment minus all costs.
