Just a few more thoughts on your hypothesis cats.

If it was a bug, wouldnt other sellers experience the same thing ? Ebay CS had never heard of the problem and where as suprised as me over it. It could not have been based on my computer as I used more than one computer to run the account. If it was a bug, I would have thought it would have to be in ebays systems and over a period of 12 months some-one else would report a similar experience or ebay would find and fix it ???

I dont think we will ever know what went on for certain, but it was a very alarming experience that coincided exactly with the timing of my one and only forum post with my main selling ID.
