Yes, the one kg satchels are only available in packs of ten, but AP do provide discounts for bulk purchases. All of their satchels are 5-10% cheaper when purchased in packs of 10 and a further discount is available if purchased in lots of 100.
When our ebay business was at its peak, we went through the figures with an AP sales rep., to see if it was worth starting a postal contract with AP. I was buying pre paid satchels in lots of 100 at the time and this actually worked out just as cheap as going onto a commercial postal contract for the number of items I was sending, so the discounts can be signifigant.
Another thing people may not be aware of is the cost of Australia Post tough envelopes. I havnt purchased one singularly, but I believe they cost over $1.00 each. When purchased in a box of 100, the price comes down by around 60% ( no not a typo !!!! ) so definately worth checking that out if you use them regularly.
