I think it took a day or so to be finalised when I registered and put the info in.

How long have you given it and have you definitely ensured it is in the format they have requested?

Same thing its asking me to upload a photo scan of my drivers licence and i think its a joke.i mean i have no problem providing credit card details and bank account details like i did to paypal for years but until i provide this upload of my licence my money owing for my ebag sales is being locked..its blackmail,i wish it was going to be like that otherwise i wouldn't have put it on there

Blame the government. They are the ones setting the minimum requirements. And Paypal requirements years ago don't apply to anti-money laundering laws today

What i dont understand is ebay gets you PASSPORT DETAILS, Date of Birth , Bank Details .

If someone hacked their account or an employee was less than honest , they could sell your house with all of the ID you have given them . How nobody is concerned about this amazes me .

THEY WILL HAVE ALL YOUR ID. They ARE you , as far as evidence needed by a bank  goes .

Ebay is Dead to me after this .

Not sure how people are willing to risk their life savings like this.

Because we understand the system, the Federal government's requirements.

Only a mug would not understand that bank account details are useless without passwords, except to deposit into.

Hi Dave,   Not only are bank accounts useless without passwords,  but ebays data is useless without the encryption key.  Estimates to decipher data without the key  have been estimated from a couple of centuries to   6 Quadzillion years.  And this assumes that the data and key are never updated.

Accidently managing to decipher data,  has also been described as winning lotto 30 days in a row.

I wonder what my house will be worth when they finally crack the code
