Payment not received despite eBay indicating that it has.

I was notified of a sale and that the buyer had paid but the money has not been received in my PayPal account. I have messaged the buyer (twice) to inform them that payment has not been received but they have not returned these messages. What happens next? I will not post item without payment but is it SOLD and paid for according to eBay.

I am not a seller, but it probably has to do with Managed Payments, and not with the buyer.

Are you on managed payments?

If so it wont go into your paypal account, it will sit in Ebay, until your next schedule transfer to the bank.

You are on managed payments and appear to be a new seller, as such under managed  payments your funds will be on  hold for 30 days.

Note your payments will no longer go to paypal, so look in your ebay payments

Am I the only one offended by eBay's grabbing the buyers money and telling sellers "Trust us  you have been paid" go ahead and send the item now but with no sign of the money in our accounts . And then several days later they own up to having received the money and will send it on to us minus their fees of course in a day or so.

Further to this they are charging us the paypal 3.5% even though the money doesn't go to paypal at all but eventually , to our bank account perhaps 5 or 6 days after the payment was made.

Am I just being picky about this or do others think even by eBay standards this is over the top.

Not sure why you had to post this twice,  just being double picky I guess

…. And this is why I stopped selling on eBay years ago.  😉

Was it Because missbelz15 posted twice.  LOL,  I must be bored as well

Picky, picky, picky.

Oh, and picky.

Break it down and you are paying slightly less in fees than you were before.

Getting paid minus the fees leaves nothing left to pay (unless you have a store)

Set your payments to daily and before you know it, you won't notice the lag.

Ah!  Had you not stopped selling, then you would not have to worry about any freeze on funds.

Despite all the hoo haa over managed payments, it works quite well and sales are through the roof.

So jumping ship may not have been such a great idea.
