You seem to consider that you shouldn't provide adequate information to your mug buyers.

Sadly I have found that a lot of online sellers have forgotten or don't care about customer service.  A simple thing like uploading tracking information just adds to a positive experience.

As noted in my first post on this thread, the majority of ebay buyers probably appreciate tracking numbers, particularly for the type of items you are selling. It could be good business to provide that service to them, particularly if you are a casual seller who doesnt need to value the time you spend on ebay..

But as also noted in that post, while ebay makes one size fits all, generic mandates based on the majority, there are plenty of niche sellers and buyers who have different motivations to the majority.

My buyers on two selling accounts are similar to me. They are running businesses and havnt got time to muck around checking tracking numbers to see if an item is on its way. The same as they havnt got time to muck around leaving fluffy feel good feedback. Its simply a commercial transaction. They buy, they pay, I send as described and in good time, they get their item ....The End.

If I have to spend too much time mucking around with stuff that doesnt actually change anything, ebay will become unviable for me. The result is I will simply do something else with my time to earn a living. Like thousands of others I sell unique stuff that often isnt available anywhere else. I have a range of products that I have made up for me which are only available on ebay and have sold in the hundreds and all to business / commercial clients.

ebay will still continue on if I leave, but if tens of thousands of sellers of unique items feel the same way and leave, it starts to become a problem for ebay. Studying recent data, I suspect this is already happening. ( and the data analysis could be another thread on its own ) That's why sellers have been receiving messages thanking us for hanging in there and ebay was giving sellers the $50 gift vouchers to spend on ebay a couple of weeks ago as a gesture of thanks.
