Order Status Not Updating After Successful Delivery

Dear eBay Customer Support,

I am contacting you regarding an issue with an order from my store. The buyer has received the item, and the tracking information shows that the item was successfully delivered. However, the order status on eBay still shows as "Sent" rather than "Delivered."

Order Details:

  • Order ID22-12447-73885
  • Tracking NumberTBAU145028344
  • Delivery Date: 18/12/2024

I kindly request that eBay update the status of this order to reflect that it has been delivered successfully. Please let me know if any further information is needed to resolve this matter.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue. I look forward to your assistance in resolving this as soon as possible.

Best regards,

Is there a reason why you're sharing your message to eBay customer support?

Do you have a question?

Has the buyer opened a request?

This is the member to member forum

eBay staff only rarely read here, so if you want a 'prompt' eBay response, you will need to actually contact eBay

Other members cannot see anything from the order number

If it is regarding your funds being on hold, they will be as you are a new seller and the 30 day hold on funds you agreed to when you listed really do apply

Assuming you signed up for Managed Payments and were verified to sell before doing so

That's an interesting tracking number !

Where are your orders being sent from ?

Which carrier service ?

I sometimes receive parcels  with tracking numbers starting with TBAU but never with eBay orders.

"I sometimes receive parcels  with tracking numbers starting with TBAU but never with eBay orders"

only from Amazon.

So if your orders are being sent from there, read this:

https://www.ebay.com.au/help/policies/selling-policies/third-party-fulfilment-policy?id=4718

The tracking number you have given, appears to be invalid/incomplete.

The prefix  TBA, normally relates to amazon logistics.

Are you another one drop shipping via amazon etc.

The listing, descriptions and odd prices certainly reflect that is likely

This is an ongoing issue.  I've let Ebay know.  They do nothing.

There is clearly a technical glitch, an API error, that is impacting the connection between Auspost and ebay.  Ebay will show the tracking number but it isn't connecting to Auspost correctly so it doesn't get confirmation of the item's shipment or arrival.

The biggest potential impact of this is payout holds associated with 'poor tracking performance'.  Every time this glitch occurs Ebay defects you because as far as it's system is concerned you've not entered a valid tracking number or have not shipped the item.

Has anybody escalated this to somebody other than the clueless muppets on the chat line?  A category manager or account manager etc?

I'd be very happy to see  payout holds  and  defects applied  if a seller's dropshipping from Amazon

Using ebay to Drop Ship via Amason (and others) is huge business.
