Buyer requirements..

Just curious,if a potential buyer dosen't meet your requirements and tries to bid on an item, what message do they see or get when they try to bid.

I think it is something like 'The seller is not accepting your bids at this time' or something close to that.

That is exactly what it says.

I was knocked back because the seller in question blocked bidders

with fb of less than 100.  I know that because it was a B & M and I

rang them.   They didn't trust newbies!!

august_finder, try this . . . . . . I currently have an item listed as a Buy-It-Now with Best Offer feature . . . . . . BUT, I have put you on my Blocked Bidder List.  Make a low offer of something like 5 cents on my item and submit the offer.  This will let you see what the message to Blocked Bidders is.  If it somehow comes through to me I will decline the offer.  If it comes through and I accept the offer you can leave me a big red negative for messing with you.

Come back and let us know what the message was.

P.S. I am in no way advertising my item . . . . . . doubt many would be interested in it anyway as it is just a piece of junk that I painted with Gold Spray Paint to make it look better   LOL . . . . . definitely not worth the asking price in my opinion!

There is no way to block bidder with FB less than 100 ... You can only block bidders with -1 or less.

Strange then that all the bidders had 500+ fb

And 20+ watchers!  That just doesn't happen in this particular category

I did bid on a selling id though

I.m not sure how they did this. I just checked preferences and there is no way to block buyers with less than 100 FB there. They must have had an IT wizard customise things somehow and over-ride ebays settings. If the company has suceeded in doing it, there would be plenty of ebayers keen to find out how.

I have no idea either.  I did speak on the phone with the seller.

He didn't even ask my id.  Asked my fb, then said no-one under 100.

Didn't trust newbies. No further conversation.  That item was a bulk listing.

Couldn't have been a personal block because he had other single items

that I bid on with no problem.

Woman Happy Good luck with your item.

Had to smile when i saw it is a non functioning camera.

Still, that makes more sense than the diaries at our local newsagency. They had a sign up saying half price, so i chose one and went to the counter, only to be told it is only the 2013 diaries that are half price!

But who on earth would buy a 2013 diary now, I asked. Lots of people apparently!!

I have scratched my head over this. Turns out, I only bid on one other item, so

I think it's covered under buyer requirements

> buyers who may bid on several of my items and not pay for them

> block buyers who are currently winning or have bought (X) of my items

    in the last 10 days

(only apply this block to buyers who have a feedback score of (X) or lower

I think the -100 was a crock.  He didn't want to combine postage IMO
