I think you'll find that very few sellers disagree with you and we all feel that charging a fee on a non-profit component of the transaction is an unconscionable act by eBay. In effect it's a fee rise by stealth, if sellers absorb the additional costs, or if they wish to maintain the same profit margins, they need to increase their postage charges by 11% in order to cover the extra amount.
As most of us have already reduced our prices to a bare minimum in order to compete and are simply not in a position to absorb any additional expenses, the majority have chosen to increase their postage charges by 11% instead, which is an unfortunate added impost on our buyers. What eBay have done is beyond unethical but as is usually the case, there's not a damn thing we can do about it.
