If it was turned the other way, the cup hooks woul be UPSIDE DOWN and a metre in the air  .... plus you would never reach the plates lol

Yes,  the lower section is definitely the bottom and would look silly on top. Nor would the plates be saved by the cut out bits if they roll forward.

*waits to see what picture Kabrine posts next*

i forget the correct name for this type of 'wall wear' but I think it originated up in the Nordic area of the world (think IKEA). Waterproof types of timber were/are used to construct these plate racks that are placed over food prep areas/kitchen sinks. Idea is that you wash your own plate (wishful thinking) after eating and immediately 'rack' it to drip dry.....ready for use next time. No need for a seperate cupboard to store your plates and crockery in at all

She'll think it's half of a pair of stilts           lol

And that one is definitely upside down

It's a chair, for someone with really good balance!

or a fance pailing (admittedly a very short fence - but...) - presumedly the photo is upside down if that's the case, cos otherwise the dog will sneak through the gap, and there would be nothing to snag your dress on if you hopped over it.

hahahaha

The photo is not upside down - the object is.

It's lying on the ground - turn it over

Spoiler

Have another guess before you look

What? no little man pops out to undo your laces for you so you don't have to bend over?

That would rip the heels off the back of your boots!

It'd scuff em to bits too - I'd spend a lifetime repolishing them FGS!

But nope, I'd have never have guessed that - never seen one

Sorry Kabrine, that one I would turn into a fence pailing, or another shelf doobie to hang on your wall for really tiny things. Do you collect thimbles?

I reckon it'd make a good spoon rest, eh? Gaffeer tape it to the wall over your stove and have a handy place to pop your spoon!
