This is the response I got when asking to speak to a supervisor today:

I really need to start taking screen shots of offers I receive although I am sure this one would have mentioned ebay reserves the the right to end it early.

Definitely take screenshots, I've learnt the hard way to always do that now.

 

But with this promotion, I couldn't find any terms and conditions to refer to, so they can't just say that clause applies.

More than likely they were hemorrhaging cash on this promotion due to it's popularity and couldn't carry another 10 days of subsidising postage.

 

At the end of day it was sellers who were benefiting more than eBay, and the word got out about the XS satchel, which is what the promotion was all about.

 My issue is that when this banner was up before ebay took it down around the 21st, clicking on the "Learn more" link led nowhere.

 

There was nothing more to learn, no Terms & Conditions to refer to, and therefore, nothing to indicate that they might end the promotion early.

What an absolutely disgraceful thing to happen.

I view this as unethical at the very least.
