Ebay birthday promo, does it apply to international items?

Ebay rep told me discount only applies to items and sellers on ebay.com.au. If I buy an item from overseas that is visible on ebay.com.au will I get a discount? I want to make a large order but want to get it right before I commit.

Yes, if the item is listed on ebay.com.au it will work. I just made a purchase and got the discount.
