I tried to pay for an item but checkout won’t let me

I won an item but when I tried to pay at the checkout and use the PayPal option I signed in to my account and was told “ we have a problem and PayPal is not available at the moment try another payment option “ Ithen entered my card details and it was accepted “ payment pending “ 10 mins later the item is back in my waiting for payment folder. Contacted PayPal and eBay spent considerable time talking to both and no resolution. The seller canceled the transaction and now i miss out on an item that is very hard to find.

If the transaction is cancelled then looks like you will need to find another or ask the seller if the item is still for sale.

It sounds as though the seller does not accept credit card payments.

Did you try using another funding source?

I have found that sellers in the UK often do not accept credit card funded payments and apparently that is OK there.
