It sounds as though your internet connection was slow and your bid did not register in time.

Without looking at the bidding history there is not much anyone can tell you.  Can you post the item number please?

Item number:251613513478 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Industrial-retro-vintage-style-dining-chairs-/251613513478#ht_94wt_991 Hi. Yes, I would have thought that except that my bid $137 must have registered in time because it went up to at least $62, but why did it not keep going because $137 is definitely more than the winning bid of $63. I bid just $39 back on the 18th and increased the bid to the $137 amount even 14 seconds after the winning bidder put in whatever their top bid was.

Here is the bidding history. Your last bid of $62 was later than the winning bid of $63+ but just pushed up the bidding to  $63.

5 seconds later the item ended.

I can only think that you made a typo and only put in $62.

Your earlier bid was $48 not $39....could you be thinking of another item as neither of the bids are the amounts you believed you entered?
