Typing goes off when contacting seller

When I open 'contact seller' and start typing I might get three or so words out and the  typing disappears.  It does not come back and the whole message section is blank.

I am using Ubuntu 18.04 and have not had this problem before.

This question has been posted quite a few times, in each case the uses have Grammerly that has been causing the issue

If it's not that, and another member here does not have a suggestion that might be the cause in your case, you might need to contact eBay. Despite their blurb that 'tech staff check this forum for issues' no such thing happens

I'd never heard of Ubuntu, but in the link below their are some known issues, maybe that info will help you.
