it's the law. A bid is an offer. An offer can be rejected at any time before acceptance occurs.

A seller can end an auction to the highest bidder if they don't want to wait until it finishes.

I doubt this is the case, kopes, or the OP would be asking why they won it with time to go.

The item belongs to the seller until such time as it is sold. They can reject any bid they feel uncomfortable with; they can reject all bids and end the listing if they feel like it (within parameters).

Maybe the seller was a bit put off by the feedback the OP has left - negs and neuts for fairly minor issues. Who knows?

I am assuming that you bid on an item, and now the item is no longer for sale by the seller? So you are wondering why?

Ok...  The seller can cancel an auction , even if it has bids on it, up until 12hrs before the auction is due to end. They have a variety of choices for their reasons, and the most common one is that the item is no longer for sale.

The seller, nor ebay are obliged to inform you that it has been cancelled, but if you bidded on it, you usually get a email saying that the auction has been ended early.
It can be frustrating and even a little disappointing especially when it was an item you were hoping to win... but in the end, it's the sellers choice and their decission is final.

Hope that helps. ๐Ÿ™‚
