If you have purchased an item, that is, it is appearing in you purchase history and is awaiting payment, it can not be removed, so should be paid for.
If it is an item still in your cart that you have already purchased and don't want to buy another one, click on the cart icon at the top-right of the page and then click the remove option that appears underneath the price.
