why do listings show FREE postage when it's pickup?

Why do items have FREE postage when looking in list view only to click on the item and it says local pickup only

Is it the way people list them?

or is it an eBay thing?

and is there a way to search without showing the pickup items

I think it's an eBay glitch, especially with the phone app (which seems to get worse everytime they update it).

But it could be - you know what they are like - pick up is FREE..

They are US after all.

A vast majority of pick up items show as free postage.

Personally I love them & find 90% of these are easily posted so I negoiate with sellers & find almost no opposition when it comes to auctions.

Yes there is. Click on Advanced next to the search button.

One of the options is Local Pick Up.

If you do not tick that box then Local Pick Up will not show in your search results.
