Cuttlery question.

I recently got a set of 30 pieces of cuttlery, 6x knifes, soup sloons, dinner forks and desert spoons and forks.

I will have to polish it all, as it is tarnished, but I can not find any information about the maker.

The knife has written on the blade;

Geo. Ellis (Silversmith) Ltd.

Sheffield, England

and across the blade; Stainless Steel

All the spoons and forks only have written on the back of the handles; Arundel Plate

I have googled and searched, but can not find any information.

Can anyone please help?

Cuttlery question.

I thought for a minute it may have been restaurant cutlery, but no.

This is the closest I could get -

Possible made by the above co. and the stainless blades made by Geo Ellis.

Cuttlery question.

Thank you, Kopenhagen. That is all the information I got while searching.

There is no EPSN stamp anywhere, yet it looks like silverplate with the tarnish. Would like to find out what Arundel Plate means? I assumed that the knife blade was made out of stainless steel by Geo. Ellis, but that he also was a Silversmith as that is in brackets before the Ltd.

It's fun trying to find answers, but also very frustrating. ?:|

Cuttlery question.

Hi

Its some years later but I cam across your message when searching the identical cutlery you questioned.I also cannot find anything conclusive so was wondering if you ever found out more about this and could steer me in the right direction.

Many thanks
